Alphabet Games for Toddlers — Learn A to Z on the Keyboard

Pup Pup Keyboard is a free alphabet game your toddler plays with the real keyboard. Press A and a giant A appears, a voice says the letter, says its “ah” sound, and shows “A is for Apple.” Press it again for a second word, then a third. No ads, nothing to install, and a screen-time limit built in.

Every letter, and the words your child will hear

Each letter key has three picture words that rotate on repeat presses, so a favorite key keeps teaching something new.

How to play an alphabet game with a 2 or 3 year old

  1. 1. Let them mash first. Random presses are fine — every one names a letter out loud, so the noise is already teaching.
  2. 2. Hunt for their initial. “Can you find the letter your name starts with?” is usually the first real goal a toddler takes on.
  3. 3. Say the word back. When the picture appears, repeat it together — “A is for Apple” — so the letter, sound, and object link up.
  4. 4. Drag the matching pup. After each letter, colored pup tags line the bottom of the screen; dragging the right one earns a paw-print shower.
  5. 5. Stop when the pup sleeps. The session ends on its own and needs a grown-up to restart, so there is no negotiating.
